The Grain Exchange Barbershop across from City Hall in downtown Minneapolis, in the lobby of the historic Grain Exchange Building, has been serving the downtown community since 1904. Bob Haddow, only the fifth barber to own the shop, says, “It’s great to work in the heart of the city. Everyone is welcome. If you are new to Downtown East drop by to say hello. I keep maps of the city and a small library of books concerning local history.”
Shop will be closed on Friday June 21st so that I can attend the Wisconsin Energy Fair. Is it possible to generate all of our own household power? Probably. I’ll be meeting lots of people who do just that this weekend.
